House Mouse Spotlight
I've been a very bad blogger... haven't been posting or updating in much too long.
For quite awhile, I wasn't doing much crafting, but I am finally getting back into the swing of it again.
A few weeks ago, I needed a thank you card quickly for my niece. She loves tulips, so I knew I had to use this stamp, but I really didn't want to take the time to do all of the coloring/ shading. I decided to do a spotlight card-- my first. I was happy with how it turned out and will definitely do one again--- especially with these big House Mouse stamps that are beautiful, but have so much detail in them!! It was a nice compromise!!
Also pictured, along with the card is a matching envelope I made with one of my new toys. I got a Martha Stewart Scoring Board. It is similiar to a ScorePal, but has more scoring grooves and is cheaper--- if you can believe that any MS item could be cheaper!! It also has an envelope tool-- making envelopes is a snap using the tool!

Sweet 16 Card
Laura's Sweet 16 birthday was yesterday. I wanted to make her a special card and also something to hold the gift cards that she got for her birthday. This is the little card/ booklet that I came up with. The card and the gc were a big hit!!

Lilac House Mouse
I think this image was sent to me by my internet friend, Chris D, ages ago and I have to admit that I was a bit intimidated about coloring it. I love the image, but with all the detail and mousies, I knew it would be quite a task to color. I started working on it yesterday and was going to complete the lilacs with flower soft. After I started coloring them, though, I decided I was going to omit the flower soft idea and just leave them colored with the OMS and prisma pencils.
I'm a little less intimidated now and plan on going through my image basket to see if I can find another image to work with! Thanks for the lilacs, Chris!!

House Mouse Bookmark
I love some of the bookmarks I've seen recently. Since it doesn't appear that anyone is going to send me one, I decided I'd better make one for myself, but it didn't work out quite as I had planned. This is one of the House Mouse cuties that arrived in my mailbox today. I quickly inked him up and started working on the bookmark. The plan all went well-- until Laura came hom and stole him from me before I could even get his picture posted!! Oh, well, she didn't actually steal him--- I gave him to her, but I'm still without a bookmark, so I guess its back to the craft table for me!!

Berry Happy Birthday
I went to the scrap table this morning, planning on finishing up some more Magnolia images that I had leftover from yesterday. The little mousies had different ideas. They jumped on the table and demanded some attention. My internet friend, Kristie, gave me the idea of putting the ribbon through the buttons. Thanks, Kristie!! Kristie also gave me the strawberry stamp-- so thanks, again!!

House Mouse Birthday

Into the mix of Tildas that I've been working on this week end, an occasional house mouse wanders across the craft table while I'm working. This little guy needed a home. I love this image. I got it in an image swap, but enjoyed working on the image so much, I've ordered the stamp.... plus, Laura fell in love with him and was not happy when I didn't have any images to share with her.
The soap bubbles and water are stickled, so they really sparkle. Love that Stickles!!

House Mouse Birthday
This is such a cute House Mouse image sent to me by my friend, Terry. The image is so large, there's not much room left to work with the card, so I just matted it simply and put the sentiment on it.
Hearts are stickled, too.

House Mouse Birthday
Love these little mice. I don't think its possible to make a bad card as long as you're using a House Mouse!! This image was a RAK from my friend, Terry, who is also a HM addict-- lucky for me.
The water is highlighted with Stickles and really sparkles and shines in person.

... eat dessert first!
The sentiment stamp that goes with this image is one of my favorite life philosophies--- life's uncertain.. eat dessert first!!
I got this stamp a little before Christmas but hadn't used him before. I think he makes a very cute image and card.

House Mouse
I love this little guy. This image is another from my friend, Terry. Of course, after she sent the images, Laura and I decided that he was so cute that he needed to come live with us.

Last 2 Halloween Cards
Thank goodness, the Halloween cards, stamps and embellishments can be packed away---- again!! I've been under the weather the last couple of days, so this is the first chance I've had to post the last 2 type Halloween cards I made for Laura. I made some minor changes to these after the pictures were taken, but since I was feeling so bad, I didn't re-take the pictures. Sorry about that, but you get the general idea.
The first card, I remembered seeing one like it on a blog last Halloween. I have no idea which blog, since it was a year ago, so I do apologize for not being able to give credit appropriately. This was the first one I made.... with the next one, I played with the size a little and got one I was a little happier with-- and would fit in a regular size envelope. This one was a little bit of a challenge to get into an envelope!! And I absolutely do not recommend cutting out the house mousies--- not an easy task!! LOL!!

The second card is a little mummy. After I took the picture, I decided I didn't like the eyes--- I was playing with them and trying to work from memory which is never a good idea for me. I took the eyes off and redid them, but I didn't take another picture. The original card idea was CASE'd from an internet friend of mine, Char. She gives credit to another blog, but I have to give my credit and inspiration to her!!

Halloween Cards: Part 2 ..... and still counting!!
If this post seems like dejevu for you, don't feel bad--- it does me too!! I've made so many Halloween cards, I see them when I close my eyes!!
These are more of the cards that I am helping make for Laura for her friends. She hadn't seen any of the cards until last night and was very excited and pleased with how they are turning out, although they are all very simple with not a lot of layers or extras. As a matter of fact, she told me I could make more than the original 20 we had agreed on!! Goody, goody!! LOL!!
These are the ones I worked on yesterday afternoon and this morning.... and there will be more to come!! LOL!! I have 3 on my desk now, waiting to be finished!!

Christmas Cards
Seals are an endangered species... at our house. I had a seal image colored and on this card-- only needed to add the finishing touches when the new addition to our family-- a black, curious, pesky kitten decided to check it out. I couldn't save the image after her little paws examined it more closely, but was able to color another image and salvage the rest of the card.
It doesn't show up in the picture, but the baby seal is painted with Shimmerz, so she has lots of shine!!

I found a bunch of small house mouse and Fluffle images in my image basket last night. I had colored them last Christmas, and then didn't use them. I put them on cards this morning. I felt like I had won a lottery by finding images already finished and ready for a card!!
