Dining with Shamu

One of the things that I was most looking forward to was "Dining with Shamu". The food was great, but the highlight, of course, was the guest of honor. We got to spend extra time with Shamu and see him a little closer than in one of the regular shows.

Feeding the Dolphins

Feeding the dolphins is always one of our favorite things to do at SeaWorld. I was happy that I was able to get some good pictures this time!!
There's hidden journaling under the big photo in the center of this page, but I didn't include a picture this time. The close ups of the dolphins on this page are pictures that Laura took.

SeaWorld

Finally!! On to the SeaWorld pictures!!

This first page is one of those that I'm not really happy with, but I don't know what else to do with it, so for right now, I guess it stays as it is. I used our tickets and some punched/ stamped tickets for the top border.

lobster buffet

I had to scrap one of the restaurants we ate at in Orlando.... journaling is hidden again on this page.

Princess..... or Cookie Monster??

I said the most fun I had on vacation was the morning we spent at Hollywood Studios with Wendi and her gang-- because I got to harrass Nadya-- that's always fun. I couldn't resist scrapping the pictures of her attacking her giant cookie. There is hidden journaling behind the pictures......
.... and here's a close-up of the journaling.

Night time at Magic Kingdom

I haven't been around for a few days. We went shopping a couple of days last week for school clothes/ supplies, then I had a few days that I wasn't feeling well. Better today and trying to get back to posting and scrapping.

I'm still working on posting some of the vacation layouts that I've completed. There are 2 pages here of photos taken at night at the Magic Kingdom. Both layout pages also have pull outs with more photos/ journaling and embellishments. The large photos on the front of both pull outs are postcards... all other pics are mine.
I had to get that last Disney World ticket on a layout somewhere-- its the Pluto embellishment on this page.

The small Mickey's on the background are from a punch and the small "dots" are dew drops!

Magic Kingdom

Back to the Magic Kingdom. I finished these pages last week except for the journaling, so I got that done yesterday. I wanted our MK pages to be very bright and cheerful!

The next 2 pages are actually only one fold out.... I think I made it just a little too big!! LOL!! I couldn't get one good picture of it, so I took 2!!
The fold out also includes some Disney postcards.

More Hollywood Studios

These are the pages from Disney's Hollywood Studios. There's a couple of hidden surprises on these too!
This is the hidden journaling under one of the photos on the first layout.

And this is a little mini fold out. Laura loves the Beauty and the Beast show, but I didn't want the pics of the show to dominate the page, so I hid her a couple of extra ones underneath the one I put on the page.

Downtown Disney

This layout has a collage of the pics I took at Downtown Disney. I cut the big Mickey ears out of black cardstock and shaded the edges with a cat's eye chalk.

Florida Page

This is a layout of our traditional stop at the "Welcome to Florida" sign. I hid the journaling under one of the pics.

Eeyore

Poor little EEyore is my favorite Pooh character and he is so overlooked and neglected. Take for example, the photos we took at Downtown Disney... where is Eeyore?? Forgotten.... overlooked.... neglected..... Now, I have a confession to make... the paper I used on this layout was originally Tigger paper, but since Tigger was represented, I decided to switch it up and let Eeyore have a chance. I covered Tigger up with an Eeyore sticker and made a few other minor adjustments. It looks so much better now and I like having Eeyore recognized for the cute, thoughtful little donkey that he is!!

Studios Map

Am I the only person who refuses to call MGM by its new name: Disney's Hollywood Studios? That is the biggest challenge for me! Guess I'm too old to learn new tricks-- or names.

This is another of the pages with the park map. I matted it and stamped the ticket border on the right side.

Mickey and Minnie at the bottom are Jolee's.

What a Bunch of Characters!!

We started our day at Magic Kingdom with a visit with Donald!!
Paper is EK Success with a bunch of odd and end embellishments. Left upper corner is another of the Disney tickets.

Map to the Kingdom

This does not make a very attractive page, but its something I've wanted to do for all our trips and just never seem to get around to it for one reason or the other. This is one of the maps to Magic Kingdom. Things change every time we go.... my first trip was in 1977--- that map would be quite different from this one in 2009. I told Laura that I thought it would be fun for her and her kids (someday) to look at this map and see the differences from when they make their own trip! The big Mickey embellishment is from EK Success.... the smaller Mickey is one of our Disney World tickets. Mickey brads are from PaperWishes.

More from Chef Mickey's

Chef Mickey's is always one of our favorite places for a character meal and this trip was no different!

The paper is EK Success again. I also hid the journaling in a window under the photo.

Chef Mickey's

This is the first page from our visit to Chef Mickey's.... personally, I liked the photo with the Mickey ears added, but my daughter didn't so I took them off before they went in the album!! I think she was just upset because Kimmy's ears fit better than hers-- but I could have trimmed them down.

The paper is EK Success. The embellishments are all odds and ends that I have been hoarding for years, waiting for the next trip to Disney!!

Got Gators??

I'm finally getting some photos edited and posted!! I've been busy scrapping instead of blogging!!
These 2 pages are from Gatorland in Orlando. Anyone that knows me or that is familiar with my scrapping knows I am usually a very clean, crisp scrapper--- very simple. I wasn't into distressed and grunge when they were popular!! These 2 pages are about as grungy as I get! I distressed the edges of the cardstock and dp... then inked the edges with a Cat's Eye chalk.

Beach Bum

These are the other two pages that I got completed for the vacation album. I used a kit from A Page in Time Scrapbook.com.

"Back to the Shack"

Started working on our vacation scrapbook... I was quite pleased with the progress I was making today-- until the darn printer ran out of ink!!
This is a page for our favorite restaurant: The Crab Shack on Tybee Island!! I started out working with a kit from A Page in Time Scrapbook.com, but just wasn't pleased with some of the papers or the layout. I ended up combining some of the papers/ embellies from the kit with some paper from DCWV and Bazzil cardstock.

Sugar Nellie Again

This is another card made with a RAK image of "Demure". She is so simple and elegant. I think this is a beautiful stamp.
She was colored with Prisma pencils and OMS.

Summer Bunny

This little guy always makes me feel summery and lazy. I want to be on that float with him!!

Sugar Nellie

This cutie is my first Sugar Nellie image!! The name of the stamp is "Demure" and I recieved the image as a RAK on one of my yahoo groups. I know I will end up breaking down and buying some of the Sugar Nellie stamps soon-- I love them!!
She was colored with prisma pencils. You can't see it in the picture, but she also has a coat of shimmerz on her gown to make it a little shiny. The dp is Basic Grey and the cardstock is Bazzil-- 2 of my favorite things!

Gorjuss Girls

Back to the craft table! Felt good to be crafting again, but I also felt very "rusty"! LOL!!

This image is such a cutie-- and no she does not have a mouth!! I know that is a touchy subject to some people, but I love her anyway. This image was a RAK to me on one of my Yahoo groups and is one of the Gorjuss Girls stamps!

This is a very simple card, but I felt like I needed simple yesterday!

New Card!

Finally!! I have a card to post!! This is actually the card I was working on last month before we left on vacation. Got the details completed yesterday afternoon and it finally got put in the "done" pile!! Felt really good to be crafting and able to complete something!

MIA

I have fallen off the creativity wagon.... no posts in ages!! No crafting in ages!! We went to Orlando for vacation in July. Although we've been back for a couple of weeks, I still can't seem to find my way to the craft table, but hope to soon--- I have lots of vacation pictures and ideas that I need to get to work on!!

Hopefully, I'll be back with more regular posts soon!!
