Christmas Cardinals

I finally got a new card made this evening. I was determined to do something productive tonight!!

Last 2 Halloween Cards

Thank goodness, the Halloween cards, stamps and embellishments can be packed away---- again!! I've been under the weather the last couple of days, so this is the first chance I've had to post the last 2 type Halloween cards I made for Laura. I made some minor changes to these after the pictures were taken, but since I was feeling so bad, I didn't re-take the pictures. Sorry about that, but you get the general idea.
The first card, I remembered seeing one like it on a blog last Halloween. I have no idea which blog, since it was a year ago, so I do apologize for not being able to give credit appropriately. This was the first one I made.... with the next one, I played with the size a little and got one I was a little happier with-- and would fit in a regular size envelope. This one was a little bit of a challenge to get into an envelope!! And I absolutely do not recommend cutting out the house mousies--- not an easy task!! LOL!!
The second card is a little mummy. After I took the picture, I decided I didn't like the eyes--- I was playing with them and trying to work from memory which is never a good idea for me. I took the eyes off and redid them, but I didn't take another picture. The original card idea was CASE'd from an internet friend of mine, Char. She gives credit to another blog, but I have to give my credit and inspiration to her!!

Birthday Cards

Sent out a couple of birthday cards to some high school buddies this week. The first one is done with copic markers and prisma pencils-- no OMS.

This Happy Hopper is one of my favorite cards. I colored him before I discovered OMS, so he is done with just prisma pencils. I can't wait to color one with him with the OMS... its on my list of images to work on!!

Halloween Cards: Part 2 ..... and still counting!!

If this post seems like dejevu for you, don't feel bad--- it does me too!! I've made so many Halloween cards, I see them when I close my eyes!!

These are more of the cards that I am helping make for Laura for her friends. She hadn't seen any of the cards until last night and was very excited and pleased with how they are turning out, although they are all very simple with not a lot of layers or extras. As a matter of fact, she told me I could make more than the original 20 we had agreed on!! Goody, goody!! LOL!!

These are the ones I worked on yesterday afternoon and this morning.... and there will be more to come!! LOL!! I have 3 on my desk now, waiting to be finished!!

Halloween Cards: Part 1

I told Laura I would help her make some Halloween cards for her friends.... I have about 1/2 of them finished. These are all very quick, simple cards. I'm trying to make them with a minimum of "bells and whistles"

Autumn Scene

I made these last week end.

Laura's Halloween Tilda

Last week, I thought I had finished all my Halloween cards... so I cleaned off my desk and put away all the Halloween stamps. Sunday night, Laura mentions she wishes she had time to make Halloween cards for her friends.... hint..... hint.... hint. ... Her schedule is so busy now, we both knew that was impossible.... so I offered to help.

I started coloring images and have 13 colored. I'm going to color them all and then put them all on cards at the same time. And I should make 1 correction-- I HAD 13 images.... now I have 12 because I took one of the Tilda's that I colored yesterday and made a Halloween card for Laura.
When I did my Halloween cards, I did this cute little witch in dark purple or blue. Laura didn't like the blue, so for her cards, I was coloring all of them purple. I got tired of looking at the purple, so I decided to try orange-- and I love it. Laura liked these best of all, so I decided that's what I'd make her Halloween card with.
I also couldn't find a big embellie that I liked for the card, so I made a big piece of candy corn!!

Blog Candy

My internet friend Shelly is celebrating her blogaversary with some blog candy. Please check out her candy and her blog. Shelly always shares her cards and interesting parts of her day. I always look forward to reading the "blessings" she includes with every post!

Christmas Cards

Seals are an endangered species... at our house. I had a seal image colored and on this card-- only needed to add the finishing touches when the new addition to our family-- a black, curious, pesky kitten decided to check it out. I couldn't save the image after her little paws examined it more closely, but was able to color another image and salvage the rest of the card.

It doesn't show up in the picture, but the baby seal is painted with Shimmerz, so she has lots of shine!!

I found a bunch of small house mouse and Fluffle images in my image basket last night. I had colored them last Christmas, and then didn't use them. I put them on cards this morning. I felt like I had won a lottery by finding images already finished and ready for a card!!

Tilda with Pumpkins

Love this cute Magnolia--- it combines 2 of my favorite things--- Tilda and pumpkins!! Perfect!! I colored all of these images earlier this week and finally got them on cards!!

Fall Fluffles

I had forgotten about this image.... not sure, but I'm thinking maybe Terry sent me this one again?? I know I don't have it myself and she is my usual source for Fluffles images. Found it in the image basket last night too! LOL!

I also have to give Terry credit for the layout. I don't work well from sketches, but Terry does. She made a card from a sketch... we were talking about the sketch last night and when I started working on this image/ card last night, I decided to do one similiar. I might not work from a sketch, but I CASE well!!

Indian Corn HM

I love this image!! Believe it or not, I do not have this stamp-- yes, there are a few HM stamps that I do not actually own, if you can believe that!! My internet friend Terry sent me this image last year and I never got around to coloring it. I was rummaging around in my image basket last night and found it. After finishing this one last night, I'm going to go back and look in the basket again to see if I can find another one.

I also have to give some credit to Laura... she is the one that suggested making it Indian corn when we got the images in the mail. Terry always sends enough for both Laura and me, so we don't have to fight over them--- and we both appreciate that!!

Thanks again for the images, Terry!

*** Addendum**** Terry says my CRS is at work again and that this image did not come from her..... I'm asking around, but so far, I haven't found anyone that will take the blame... uh.... credit for it. If you gave me the image, please let me know so I can give you full credit. I usually am better at keeping up with my RAK images so I can give credit when I use one, but obviously, I have failed in that in this instance!! Thank you to whoever sent me this image.... oh... and can I have some more, please???!!

Witchy Tilda

These are 2 more cards I finished this morning. This is the first time I've inked this Tilda stamp and I just love her.

Triangle HM card

I made a couple of these cards yesterday... both of them are exactly alike, so I am only posting one. The images were both colored by my daughter, Laura, and "donated" to me!! She colored the HM butterfly much better than I did, so I eagerly accepted. These images were the first time she had used OMS with the prismas-- and I thought she did a great job!!

The first picture is the card closed, of course, and the second with the card opened.

HM Trick or Treat

I finished these 2 Halloween cards this morning.. the images were a RAK from my internet friend Christina!! They are so cute. My daughter has informed me that we will eventually have to have this stamp, but for now, I'm working on RAK images and very thankful for them!!

More Fall Cards

I'm still working on some fall/ autumn cards. These are the same 2 Bilmalarna stamps/ images with a different layout. The pumpkin is a magnolia stamp and the "leaves" around their feet is Flower Soft. DP is Basic Grey, Indian Summer. I love that paper!!

Christmas Variety

I've been working on a variety of Christmas cards this morning.... all of them are very simple.

Grand Champions

Just a little side note..... Laura's band, Big G Band from Graham High School went to a band festival Saturday.... there were over 30 bands from Virginia, Kentucky and Tennessee. They won 2nd place in drum majors, drum line and marching... won first place in music, flags and majorettes. They got a superior rating and won overall Grand Champions!! Talk about a happy bunch of kids-- and parents!! LOL!! Their new uniforms haven't come in yet and they looked like a bunch of poor relations up there with the other bands, but they did a great job and we were all very proud of them!!
