Winter Tilda

I had a hard time deciding what to do with this Tilda. She had been colored and sitting on my desk for quite sometime when I started working with this patterned paper on some other cards. I couldn't believe what a perfect match it was for the color of her coat, so I decided to finally give her a home with this paper, including an envelope that is pictured.

Tilda's Pup

With Laura being such a big dog lover, I couldn't pass up this cute little guy when he came out a few months ago. He is a Magnolia stamp and makes such a cute card. The paper is the Rustic Stack by DCWV.

Birthday Tilda

This is another card/ envelope set-- thanks to Martha and her envelope making tool!!

I've had this Tilda hanging out on my desk for awhile... just couldn't find a home for her until today. The balloon paper is nice and glittery. I cut one of the balloons out and popped it out a little on a pop dot. Also tied some twine on it so its string would be a little 3-D.

I chalked around the edge of the image. Found a great deal on chalks at a local shop and bought several sets. Enjoyed playing with them today!!

Easter Tilda

I know I'm a little late for Easter, but I haven't shared this Magnolia card yet.

Sweet 16 Card

Laura's Sweet 16 birthday was yesterday. I wanted to make her a special card and also something to hold the gift cards that she got for her birthday. This is the little card/ booklet that I came up with. The card and the gc were a big hit!!

Rustic Tildas

I cannot even express how much I love the new stack of DCWV paper that I found at Joann's the other night. I adore it. The stack is called "Rustic" and is absolutely perfect for my Tilda images. I have been coloring them in more muted, subtle colors lately and the paper matches perfectly.

We received another storm last Friday/ Saturday, so I had some extra time to craft yesterday. These Tildas were part of what I came up with. I really enjoyed working with the Rustic paper.

I didn't have a bench stamp for this poor little Tilda to have somewhere to sit, so I made my own bench. The Tilda and the bench are on pop dots for a little 3-D effect.

Snowy Tilda and Edwin

I've had this background for ages, but I think this is the first time I've used it for myself. I've stamped it for other people, but never myself.

Tilda and Edwin are cut out and popped with some pop dots about the background.

Weekend Tildas

This is the last of my Tildas for tonight. I still have some more images that are colored, but they are drying and not ready to work with yet. I'm hoping I might get them completed tomorrow morning.

Thanks, Danni, for the suggestion!! I've accomplished quite a bit this weekend--- more than I ever imagined, but its been another cold, snowy weekend for us, so that provided lots of play time.

This first Tilda is one of my favorite images... she just turns into such a cute card. The raindrops are 3-dimensional. I love using the bright colors of the Basic Grey Lemonade collection with her-- it matches her so well!!

There are also these 2 simple girls... one with blueberries and another with an apple pie!!

Birthday Tildas

I also added a couple of birthday cards into the mix. Tilda was exactly what I needed for a couple of birthdays that are coming up in a couple of weeks.

Christmas Tildas

Two more cards to add to the weekend theme of Magnolias. Both of these are Christmas cards.

Tilda Weekend

My friend, Danni, has been working on "themed weekends". I couldn't play last week, but this weekend is Magnolias. I just happened to have some Tildas that needed attention!!

I love this cute image that I got just before Christmas, but the card layout did give me some headaches.

This is a lonely, neglected Tilda stamp that I've had for ages but had not inked before. I like the way she looks, so she is sure to be used more from now on and not collect dust as before.

This is one of the images that I've been working on with paper piecing. Again, her dress and socks are paper pieced.

Another cute Tilda... this one has 3-dimensional raindrops.

Same image as before, but this one is colored a little differently and different papers/ embellies.

Another new stamp that had not been used before.

Paper Piecing

I've been saying for ages that I was going to try paper piecing, but never seem to think of it when I'm actually at the craft table. That changed this week and I did finally try it. My friend, Michelle, in STL warned me that it was addictive and she most certainly was right. As soon as I cut out the pieces for the first image/ card, I went right back to stamp some more for 3 more cards!

There are 3 actual pieces of paper pieced for this image... one is the striped paper for the dress and then 2 pieces for the sleeve and socks.

I'm not a big fan of cutting stuff out with scissors, but I do like how the finished image looks!! Guess I will be doing more of it in the future!!

Tildas

I colored some Tildas the other night. The first 2 are new stamps that I got right before Christmas and hadn't had a chance to play with until now.

I had a difficult time with this stubborn little Tilda. I colored her and cut her out. She is sitting on a 3-D swing. The board is a small piece of cardstock with chalked edges. The ropes are twine. All of that was the easy part. Trying to decide what to do with her was the hard part. I kept putting her on different backgrounds but I wasn't satisfied with any of them until I used this BG Indian Summer dp paper. I finally decided to leave her alone!
I have to give credit to the layout of these cards and the use of the dp to Danni. She made such a cute card using a sketch from CCEE Stampers.... and CASEd her card!! Be sure to check her original card out on her blog.

I think this is one of my favorite cards. The raindrops have a 3-D effect due to the liquid applique.

Halloween Cards: Part 2 ..... and still counting!!

If this post seems like dejevu for you, don't feel bad--- it does me too!! I've made so many Halloween cards, I see them when I close my eyes!!

These are more of the cards that I am helping make for Laura for her friends. She hadn't seen any of the cards until last night and was very excited and pleased with how they are turning out, although they are all very simple with not a lot of layers or extras. As a matter of fact, she told me I could make more than the original 20 we had agreed on!! Goody, goody!! LOL!!

These are the ones I worked on yesterday afternoon and this morning.... and there will be more to come!! LOL!! I have 3 on my desk now, waiting to be finished!!

Laura's Halloween Tilda

Last week, I thought I had finished all my Halloween cards... so I cleaned off my desk and put away all the Halloween stamps. Sunday night, Laura mentions she wishes she had time to make Halloween cards for her friends.... hint..... hint.... hint. ... Her schedule is so busy now, we both knew that was impossible.... so I offered to help.

I started coloring images and have 13 colored. I'm going to color them all and then put them all on cards at the same time. And I should make 1 correction-- I HAD 13 images.... now I have 12 because I took one of the Tilda's that I colored yesterday and made a Halloween card for Laura.
When I did my Halloween cards, I did this cute little witch in dark purple or blue. Laura didn't like the blue, so for her cards, I was coloring all of them purple. I got tired of looking at the purple, so I decided to try orange-- and I love it. Laura liked these best of all, so I decided that's what I'd make her Halloween card with.
I also couldn't find a big embellie that I liked for the card, so I made a big piece of candy corn!!

Witchy Tilda

These are 2 more cards I finished this morning. This is the first time I've inked this Tilda stamp and I just love her.
