Christmas Cards
Seals are an endangered species... at our house. I had a seal image colored and on this card-- only needed to add the finishing touches when the new addition to our family-- a black, curious, pesky kitten decided to check it out. I couldn't save the image after her little paws examined it more closely, but was able to color another image and salvage the rest of the card.
It doesn't show up in the picture, but the baby seal is painted with Shimmerz, so she has lots of shine!!

I found a bunch of small house mouse and Fluffle images in my image basket last night. I had colored them last Christmas, and then didn't use them. I put them on cards this morning. I felt like I had won a lottery by finding images already finished and ready for a card!!

First Snowman...
I've got another card finished today-- my first snowman of the season.
This image is from a Serendipity Stamp that I got last week. He was so cute, I couldn't resist, and I do love all snowmen images so much!!
His glittery surface doesn't show up in the pictures well, but his "snow" is very glittery. I used Stickles first and then adhered ultra-fine crystal snow to him. Also, the puffy snow around his base and on his hat, etc... is liquid applique. When you apply heat, it PUFFS up a little!

The sentiment stamp is from House Mouse. The flowers are a recent addiction of mine: Petaloo Dazzlers. They are beautiful and no photo does them justice. Both the printed paper and cardstock are DCWV. The image was colored with Prisma pencils and OMS.

More Christmas
I'm not really obsessed with Christmas.... it just appears that way. This is actually another card that I finished last week. The image is from my friend Terry and is one of those that had been floating around the image basket. I colored it well over a year ago and was not at all happy with it. Last week, I got it out of the basket, worked on it a bit with some OMS, added some stickles to the bows and found it a home on a Chrismas card.

Finding Homes....
I am the world's worst for coloring images and then putting them to the side and not doing anything with them. They get pushed from one place to the other or stuck in the back of the image basket, forgotten. This week, I set a goal to try to find homes for all of my poor homeless images. I wanted to finish up ones that were incomplete and use them somewhere. This first one is a prime example.... I colored half this image last year before Christmas, but never completed it. This morning, I finished it with my prisma pencils and OMS---- and finally found a home for it!!!

These poor little mousies have sat on the desk for a year or more.... they finally got my attention and I managed to find homes for them and another exactly like this one. I think they look much happier in their new home, but I will miss not seeing them everyday!!
